MAX30100 Pulse Oximeter & Heart Rate Sensor Module
The MAX30100 is a highly integrated pulse oximeter and heart-rate monitor sensor solution. It combines two LEDs, a photodetector, optimized optics, and low-noise analog signal processing to detect pulse and oxygen saturation levels through the skin.
The sensor operates via I2C communication, making it compatible with most microcontrollers including Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. The module runs on 1.8V to 3.3V, but most breakout boards come with onboard voltage regulation to support 5V systems, making it plug-and-play with common development platforms.
Thanks to its small size and low power consumption, the MAX30100 is perfect for health monitoring applications in wearable tech, fitness bands, and DIY biomedical devices.
